Advanced Therapeutics for Brain Metastasis examines how systemic treatment, radiation, and surgery fit together in neuro-oncology. Directed by Nelson Moss, the September 9, 2026 Memorial Sloan Kettering virtual conference combines disease-specific updates with discussion of treatment sequencing and unresolved clinical questions. Sessions cover breast, lung, and melanoma brain metastases; stereotactic radiosurgery; brachytherapy; laser interstitial thermal therapy; and leptomeningeal disease. Further presentations address treatment-related CNS toxicity, advanced imaging, biomarkers, the metastatic microenvironment, and trial design. A multidisciplinary tumor board connects these subjects to clinical cases, making the program relevant to oncologists, neurosurgeons, radiation specialists, neuroradiologists, and researchers.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the current multimodal landscape of brain metastasis treatment.
- Identify key clinical controversies in brain metastasis management.
- Discuss barriers to improved treatments and potential research strategies (e.g. limited CNS activity of systemic anti-cancer treatments, side effects of local treatments, limited survival, and unclear endpoints).
The original virtual conference listed up to 7.50 AMA credits. Those credits, conference registration, and provider-platform access are not included with store files. The agenda describes the educational program rather than independently confirming every recording.
